Phuket Trip

I read from one of the article that the best time to go Phuket is on December when there is always sunny days. Month of December is their summer time.

But to my surprise i check the weather report is telling me that its gonna be cloudy with some rain shower is expected during our stay. Well, we hope for the best.

This is our first time to go to Phuket. We didn't pack our days with a lot of activities this time as we wanna chill on the beach.

PRE-TRIP TRAVEL BOOKING

1. Flight ticket

Our round trip for each person is around: $220

We took Singapore Airlines / Silk Air for our round trip from SIN to HKT.

This is consider a great deal in this holiday seasons as most of the airlines are increasing their fare including the budget airlines. When we checked the price of the budget airlines + the extra baggage cost, it almost equals to the full service airlines for that period.

2. Foreign Currency Exchange

Thai Baht currency to SGD, 1 SGD = 22.17 Thai Baht. Here in Singapore you can find Thai Baht almost in every money changer.

3. Hotel

We booked our stay from Booking.com.

3 days 2 night at Phuket City, Phuket city apartment and residential.

4 days 3 night at Patong area, U Zenmaya hotel.

The apartment is actually not recommended as there is a big sign right after we enter the premises. Although nothing happened to us, but we feel restricted and can not freely use the facilities.

U Zenmaya is a great and quiet hotel at the Patong area. It is not really close to the Patong beach because u need 10 mins ride by car to the beach. But it offers us quiet and beautiful view of the Andaman Sea + sunset.

4. Airport Transfer

The receptionist from our stay at the apartment offers us the transport from airport to the place. It is 45 minutes from the airport with traffic. The traffic is not that bad that only in certain area is congested. They pick us up using a big van, Toyota commuter that can fit up to 12 persons, which is commonly found everywhere in Phuket.

PHUKET : PATONG BEACH

Here is our DAY 5 in Phuket.

09:00 AM : Breakfast

15:00 PM : Jungceylon for lunch and shop

17:00 PM : Patong beach via Bangla road.

From the mall, the shortest way to go Patong beach is via Bangla road. Just be careful not to distracted by the surroundings.

Patong beach is a crowded beach with a strong wind. It is good for parasailing activities. People are keep coming to offer the parasailing packages.

18:00 PM : Back for Massage at Montra, Jungceylon
Massage are also crowded here, we have to keep coming back to check if there is slot.
Price for foot massage 30 minutes is THB 200. It is really cheap.

Well at the end of our holiday, I would say Phuket has the charm to attract tourist to keep coming back. The expenses here slightly similar to Singapore.

Surprisingly the weather is really great in Phuket, not as predicted from the weather forecast. it was sunny and hot during our stays in Phuket.

PHUKET: PATONG JUNGCEYLON

Here is our DAY 3 in Phuket.

We left the rest of our holiday unplanned because we just want to relax and enjoy at the hotel rooms.
10:00 AM : Breakfast.

We came back to the same place for breakfast and tried other menu. Still it is a great food and we super satisfied.

12:00 PM : Check out from the apartment

13:00 PM : Check in to the U Zenmaya hotel

Here is our DAY 4 in Phuket.

07:30 AM : Breakfast.

11:00 PM : Jungceylon, The Central

It was nice that the hotel has the scheduled shared shuttle from hotel to Jungceylon, Patong.

It is a mall near by Patong beach. It has supermarkets, food hall, restaurants, small shops that sells souvenirs, branded or fashion stores, playground, cinema, and almost everything. In their basement level also has the reliable massage parlors.

We did foot massage on the day 5 and my kid enjoyed the most.

15:20 PM : Back to the hotel

16:30 PM : Enjoy Sunset

PHUKET: KOH PHI PHI ISLAND HOPPING, WE CAFE

Here is our DAY 2 in Phuket

Our second day was full of island hopping tour activities. We book a day tour from Klook.

07.30 AM : Pick up by the shared van to the departure points.

09:00 AM : Short meetings and quick breakfast.

Our tour leader - Sprite is very friendly, He explained the details about our tour.

They did give the seasick medicine to prevent us from the sea sick.

09:30 AM : Ferry departs

First Stop: Snorkeling

We did snorkeling nearby Koh Mai ton island for half an hour. This is her first time to do snorkeling and it was good experience for her although at first she is a little bit hesitant.

Second Stop : Maya Bay.

This bay was famous because of the movie The Beach. But it was closed due to the recovering of the marine ecosystem.

Third Stop: Koh Phi Phi island

We rest here for an hour for lunch break and free activities.

Fourth Stop : another snorkeling near by Koh Phi Phi
Last stop : Coco Beach
Private beach that has a bouncy playground at the sea. It is a free activities also in the island. They have rental of kayak, banana boat, MPV and many more with additional cost.
After 90 minutes, we were back to the Phuket city.
17:00 PM : Arrive at the place of stay by the shared van.

18.30 PM : Dinner

Our dinner this time was at the near by cafes that has a lot of good reviews in Google here.

It is really a great food and ambiance.

Pizza is always the comfort food for the kid.

The pork garlic was recommended to try. We wonder why the pork portion was so little. But end up we still left some of the pork untouched. Pork tasted salty but when it dipped into the sauce, it was perfect combinations. Definitely a MUST try.
